Visiting a church for the first time can be a little intimidating. To help make your visit with us more relaxed and enjoyable, we’ve compiled a list of the most frequently asked questions.
What are the service Times?
Sunday School begins at 9:00, offering classes for kids and teens as well as a broad range of Biblical and Christian living classes for adults.
Morning Worship begins at 10:00, with worship for adults and teens in the main sanctuary and Kid’s Worship in the Children’s Church room.
What is There for my Children?
There is something special at Sweetwater for children of every age. During Sunday School and Morning Worship on Sunday mornings there are safe, clean, and well-staffed nurseries for toddlers and infants. At 9:00 AM there are fun, Bible-Centered classes for children from preschool through sixth grade. At 10:00 AM the kids come together for Kids’ Worship, a fun time of singing, learning and growing in God’s word. (Pastor Marc, should we include clarity here, as the “kids church” comes up to worship for part of the service?)
An additional fun and exciting program for kids is our Sweetwater Kid’s Theater that meets on Wednesday Nights, starting at 6:30 PM and ending at 8:00 PM. Check out our Children’s Ministry page for more information. (Link direct link here)
Does it Matter How I Dress?
Sweetwater is a diverse group of people, so people dress all sorts of ways! You’ll see some people in jeans and flip-flops, some people a little more dressed up, and everything in between. For the most part, the way people dress at Sweetwater Community Church is a reflection of our atmosphere- casual and comfortable.
What is the Worship Service Like?
Our worship style is a blend of contemporary praise songs with a sprinkling of some of the classic songs and hymns of the church. The messages are practical, relevant and Biblical. The service usually lasts about an hour and fifteen minutes.
