At Sweetwater’s “iYouth” ministry our goal is to know Jesus more and share Him more. We know teenagers today are in exciting & thrilling times but also in challenging and demanding times. There are many questions and even more pressures to be like and conform to our culture. At Sweetwater,  our desire is to see the youth’s lives transformed by the Gospel of Jesus and understand how the Gospel affects how they live everyday. We want to see our youth be counter-culture by learning to act, speak, think and love like Jesus. We look to Acts 2:42 as a guide where we will have Fellowship with one another (hang out time), Study the Scriptures together (read), ‘break bread’ (eat!) and Pray together.

iYouth (6th grade – 12th) meets mid-week on Wednesdays from 6:30pm – 8pm. Our mid-week group gathers for an relaxed and intimate time of study, hang out time, and games. Our school gathering is weekly from 9am – 10am.

On Sundays we take a deeper look into the Bible, trying to draw meaning out of it. We study the Bible as our foundation of our faith allowing Holy Spirit to change our lives and help us live biblically in our world as teenagers.

Monthly we try to get outside the church walls for fun, intentional hang out time. In the past we have gone bowling, hiking in Julian, had movie nights & marathons (even an all-nighter), video game nights, ice cream outings, laser tag, even dinner at my house. Additionally, our youth has gone to Acquire the Fire youth conference (and plans to attend the Follow Wesleyan Youth Conference this December!) and made a trip to Disneyland last summer.

Come and see how God is speaking to us through his Word on Wednesdays and Sundays!
